Making accessibility fun, approachable, practical, teachable, and scalable.

Shawn Jordison, widely known as The Accessibility Guy, has spent his career helping people understand how to make digital content work for everyone.

His experience spans assistive technology, higher education, accessibility consulting, document remediation, and training. Across all of it runs a consistent belief: accessibility works best when the people creating digital experiences know how to build it into their work.

Shawn spent more than a decade in higher education, including serving as a tenured faculty member teaching students with disabilities at Santa Monica College and consulting with the California Community Colleges Accessibility Center. He later built an independent accessibility practice helping organizations remediate documents and navigate accessibility requirements.

While consulting, Shawn found himself answering the same questions again and again. So he started sharing the answers.

That became what we all know today as The Accessibility Guy, an educational platform with more than 600 videos and tens of thousands of subscribers, built around making specialized accessibility knowledge practical and approachable.

What Shawn brings to Liminally

At Liminally, Shawn brings deep accessibility expertise and an educator’s instinct for making it usable.

He helps shape our training, remediation practices, and learning resources, with an emphasis on helping people build the skills and confidence to create accessible work themselves.

Remediation can solve today’s accessibility problem, but education can help prevent tomorrow’s.
